New IronLeveling Tigercat for Renner Peter and Wendy-Lee Renner, of Canterbury-based Renner Logging, have taken delivery of their first new purpose-built Tigercat LH855C harvester. It’s a leveling machine, fitted with a 260hp Cummins engine and a new Waratah 624C harvesting head. It didn’t take much convincing after looking at the benefits of the purpose built machine when compared to an excavator conversion, especially with the added bonus of the leveling system. Operator Shane spent most of the time on the old machine de-limbing on the skid, but with the new Tigercat he is out processing in the bush and loving it, especially the traction and the stability, not to mention being able to sit in a level and comfortable work environment.
