You couldn’t ask for a more varied lineup. The 10 finalist fleets for the 2013 PPG Transport Imaging Awards included five rural firms – all with a significant stock emphasis – a demolition contractor, a scrapmetal firm, and an arborist...with only two from the general freight category.
Apart from the freight, that’s a lineup of activities and environments hardly conducive to keeping trucks looking good – yet all of the finalists impressed with the cleverness of their fleet schemes and their overall presentation under challenging conditions.
And it was the rural firms that impressed the judges most, with Woodley’s Transport from Geraldine in South Canterbury taking the major honours – albeit very narrowly, from Benneydale’s PGF Transport and the northern Waikato’s Waitoa Haulage.
